On January 31, 2020, we received a letter of appreciation from the Director at the Arakawa Upstream River Office, Kanto Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

 

We observed the largest rainfall in recorded history when Typhoon No.19 hit the Kanto region in October 2019, the first year of the Reiwa era. We operated floodgate facilities along the Arakawa upstream river, and other areas, around the clock, and contributed greatly to emergency restoration activities, and it was for these efforts that we received the letter.

 

We are proud to have been able to assist with disaster response, and will continue to work diligently for the local community.
